In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange issued a strong warning to the state government, cautioning that there will be serious repercussions if elections are conducted without addressing the Maratha community's demand for reservation. Jarange called for a large gathering at a mega Dasara Melava in Narayangadh of Beed district and urged Marathas to participate in large numbers during the festival. Emphasizing that he will not compromise on any demands, Jarange stated that if the state government continues to ignore the Maratha community's requests, it will suffer consequences in the upcoming elections. He stressed the importance of unity and determination among the Maratha community members in their struggle for reservation, highlighting that this issue is not just about reservation but also about dignity and equality for the Marathas, who are facing significant challenges. Jarange criticized some individuals within the ruling party for creating obstacles and suggested that the community should not be classified as 'Kunbis' but should be granted reservation separately. Despite assurances from Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's government to address the matter, progress has been slow, leading to rising discontent within the community.
